Science cannot define spin-it’s an intrinsic property, like gravity. Electrons simply stay in motion, revolve around their atom. Do we therefore infer that we, like electrons, exist simply to spin? Are our paths so transfixed?
Magnetism is caused by interactions between spins. Up spins like up spins, down spins like down spins-perhaps this is so with relationships. Perhaps the pain that comes from the end of a relationship is chemically caused by the breaking of a magnetic bond.
Perhaps we are no more than magnets mourning our refrigerators.
